Best Fitness Apps To Have On Your Smartphone

With time, some of the facilities and activities from the past, are becoming obsolete. I believe it is now time for the gym to become obsolete as well and get DELETED!!

With a smartphone, you really do not need to enlist in a gym; you can do your exercises at home or on the go. Fitness apps have taken over and they are available, be it on the paid platforms or available for free. Fitness apps can be downloaded on any mobile device and used anywhere to get fit and stay fit with personalized workouts, fitness advice and nutrition plans. They have been designed to help the user reach their fitness goals by performing and tracking workouts and eating habits.

Here is a list of some apps that you need to check out. I won’t say I use all of them, but they have great reviews and are worth checking out.

Sworkit has adapted video-based instruction, mixed it with a timing tool and data tracking capability, and put it all into a smartphone app. Choose the workout length as well as which muscle groups to target each day.

They also have the SWORKIT Kids apps, available on iOS and Android.

  1. Fitstar Yoga

It’s impressive when an app knows exactly what you need. FitStar is an interactive app that asks questions in order to deliver tailored, personalized workouts.

  1. Fitstar

This app was designed to deliver real results for any fitness level. Expert trainers coach you through an expansive library of exercises and provide motivation so your goals become achievements.

  1. MyFitnessPal

Platform: iOS, Android (Free/Premium)

This app has a ton of features, for example the calorie counting feature. You are able to know how many calories are in a particular plate of food just by giving the app the name of the food you are eating. You can as well use the in-built barcode scanner, scan the barcode of the product you are using and it will tell you how many calories are in it. Workouts and exercises are also in the app, as well as helping you out with recipes. It is an all-rounded app.

  1. Stop, Breathe & Think

Platform: iOS, Android, Web App (Free)

This one is more of mental fitness than the aforementioned which mainly focus on the physical aspect. This app focuses on meditation, which is a mental exercise that helps one attain mental clarity. You tell the app the mood that you are in and it will give you the perfect meditation exercise for the said mood. When you feel that stress coming on in your mind, you can go ahead and calm yourself and stop, breathe and think.
